SAPA Placencia signs a new contract for the supply of its Auxiliary Power Units with one of the leading European combat vehicle OEMs.
This contract includes the installation of the Auxiliary Power Units in various vehicle versions, with delivery starting in 2020 and ending in 2033.
SAPA was chosen thanks to its experience in the design and manufacture of onboard power generators and, in particular, its extensive engineering capabilities, which have allowed it to develop a customized product tailored to the client’s specifications and needs.
The new BP-065 Auxiliary Power Unit generates a net power of over 6.5 kW at +49°C and 2,500 m altitude. In addition to the lightness, compactness, and efficiency characteristic of SAPA’s Auxiliary Power Units, this unit is characterized by its minimal acoustic impact, with a sound pressure level of <75 dBA at 2 m and no audible noise at 200 m.
