SAPA is proud to announce its participation as an essential component in the modernization of the Pizarro Phase II vehicle. Our SAPA SG-850 transmission has been selected to replace the previous transmission, significantly improving the vehicle’s mobility and efficiency.
The Pizarro Phase II has been upgraded with a 710 hp MTU 8V 199 TE20 engine, the same as its Austrian cousin, the Ulan, both developed under the ASCOD program. This upgrade, along with our SG-850 transmission, provides the vehicle with improved performance and greater reliability on the battlefield.

The first ten units of the Pizarro Phase II have been delivered to the 1st/6th «Cantabria» Battalion of the 6th «Savoya» Infantry Regiment of the 11th Extremadura Brigade, based in Bótoa, Extremadura. These units are part of the initial batch of 117 vehicles planned for this phase, a figure adjusted from the 212 initially planned, to complement the 144 vehicles in Phase I.

With the integration of the SG-850 transmission, the Pizarro Phase II not only achieves greater operational efficiency but also strengthens its ability to meet modern challenges, ensuring superior mobility in any terrain. SAPA reaffirms its commitment to innovation and excellence, offering technological solutions.
