Last Thursday, November 28th, SAPA had the honor of receiving Admiral Aniceto Rosique Nieto, Director General of Armament and Material, Lieutenant General Fernando Garcia y Garcia de las Hijas, Commanding General of the Army Logistics Support Command, and the Directorate General of Tess Defense at its Andoain plant.

During the visit, key aspects of ongoing supply programs, such as the 8×8 Program, were discussed, and future initiatives essential for defense mobility in Europe were debated. One of the highlights was the positive feedback received by the Castor vehicle units regarding the performance of the SG35T tracked vehicle transmission, highlighting its improved performance and high reliability after successfully passing demanding tests.

Furthermore, during the day, SAPA demonstrated to attendees the physical and digital transformation it has undergone, reflected in the SAPA Production System. This advanced operating model combines technology, processes, and human talent to maximize production capacity and ensure quality at every stage of the process.

SAPA’s new production model, which is now operational, has significantly increased production capacity and transformed SAPA’s operations, becoming a fundamental pillar in meeting the needs of the Army’s current and future programs.
